Chelsea Vs Leicester City

Chelsea Show Grit and Guile to Secure First Home Victory against Leicester

Raheem Sterling's Brace Seals Narrow Triumph for the Blues

Blues Dig Deep to Overcome 10-Man Deficit

Chelsea returned to winning ways at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, edging out Leicester City 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. Despite playing with 10 men for over an hour, the Blues showed immense grit and guile to claim their first home victory of the season.

Raheem Sterling played a pivotal role for Chelsea, netting both goals for the hosts. His first came in the 47th minute, a cool finish from close range. Sterling doubled the lead in stoppage time, tapping in from close range after a superb cross from Marc Cucurella.

However, Chelsea's victory was far from comfortable. Leicester City had taken the lead in the 38th minute through Harvey Barnes, and the Foxes looked set to cause an upset when Conor Gallagher was sent off for a second bookable offense just before halftime.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Chelsea refused to give up. They created numerous chances throughout the second half and were rewarded for their persistence in the dying minutes. Sterling's late goals extended Chelsea's unbeaten run to four games in all competitions.

The victory will provide a much-needed boost of confidence for Chelsea, who have endured a challenging start to the season. They now sit seventh in the Premier League standings and will be looking to build on this result under the guidance of new manager Graham Potter.
